Used in automobiles

Automotive plastic parts are mainly used in interior, exterior, functional and structural parts, as follows:

Interior Components
‌1. Instrument Panel: Commonly made of PP, ABS, or PC/ABS alloys, such as instrument panels, door handles, and steering column covers.
‌2. Seats and Door Panels: Commonly made of PP, PVC, or PU, such as seat backs, armrests, and door linings.
‌Exterior Components
‌1. Bumpers: Made of PP or PP+EPDM rubber composites for both toughness and impact resistance.
‌2. Door Panels/Taillight Covers: Commonly made of PC/ABS alloy or PC, such as door frames, rearview mirror housings, and taillight housings.
‌Functional Components
‌1. Fuel Tanks/Fuel Pipes: Commonly made of HDPE or PA, such as fuel tanks and radiator grilles.
‌2. Wiring Harness Insulation: Commonly made of PVC for electrical safety.
‌Structural Components
‌1. Hood Inner Panel: Made of GFRP or CFRP to reduce weight and increase strength.
‌Other common materials include POM (for transmission gears) and PE (for seats and carpets).
